Introduction
The Urology Residency Match (Urology Match or SAU Match) is governed by the Society of Academic Urologists. For more than 40 years, the AUA has administered the Urology Residency Match on behalf of the SAU. Annually, the Urology Residency Match consists of approximately 500 highly competitive applicants who apply for nearly 400 positions that are virtually filled. The AUA has also administered five fellowship matches, including pediatrics, urologic oncology, andrology, endourology, and male reconstruction.
The information provided on the Urology Residency Match process will assist candidates with this critical step in their urologic education and future careers.
Process Overview
When you register for a match, please be aware that you cannot participate in another match simultaneously. Since some matches may overlap, you could be matched with more than one program, which violates the agreement between you and the programs. Therefore, once you are registered for a match, you will not be able to participate in any other matches, and we will need to withdraw you from any additional matches.
